The difference is insane, I recomend to everyone if they get gearing problems that seem to be due to slippage from a single worn cog etc just replace EVERYTHING in one go. I have a different bike  Oh and ignore any bolocks online about dont mix this chain with that cog (shimano with sram etc) it all works well as taken from the advice of my most trusted bike shop man

Get a fresh set of jockey wheels too, not expensive, but will have way less lateral movement/play than worn ones. This will further improve shifting accuracy at the rear.

Hope brakes helper:
I'm looking to upgrade the front end of my bike with some hope disc brakes and fresh suspension (rock shox forks with post mount points).  I can't stretch to new brakes so am looking for some on e9ay and finding mostly IS mount type and really struggling with the numerous fitments!
Can I adapt IS 203 to Post mount 203? Or do I need to fit a stupid big disk?
Should I stick with PM and hang on in there for the right brake set?
Cheers

You can get 203 post mount adapters, I had to when I changed from Fox forks to Rockshock

Sorry to bring this up again.

Looking for another mountain bike, budget of about £300, second hand obviously.  What would you guys suggest?  Specialized Rockhopper probably my best bet?  Anything else I could consider?

Is this worth the money?
