Turns out my mate was after a bike as well, so we've agreed to go at the weekends to do some mountain biking.
Would you believe it, he just got home tonight having picked up a GT Aggressor 3. Looks identical to my GT Palomar but a different colour

Read your post wrong, thought you meant plotting route you take. Not routes to follow.
I don't bother with that just ride wherever and find some good routes
