Gt sts are the thermoplastic ones, very cool.

I built the cruiser out of a diamond back frame. First set of wheels I built too - snowflake lacing on the front.

I have a 2000 specialized stumpjumper fsr but don't rude it much, the older ones are much more enjoyable.

yeah mine has a quick release but when i was playing with it earlier and it looked to me like it was just an adjuster..?
it has a allen key bolt and flat sided washer that i need to release anyway before being able to move the lever...?
maybe need to look at it proper, just something to take my mind off the mrs being in hospital and waiting for the baby to come lol

have a play with removing the quick release setup and bolt down it down as per the other side. bolt the brace onto the brackets on both sides too. This removes a lot of play, making the brake more direct, and more powerful. Trade off is more time needed to remove the wheel, although you can remove it easily with the tyre flat- so its no more hassle when fixing a flat. try the orange soft compound pads too....

Pretty much everyone seems to have some fairly serious equipment. We should have a golfgtiforum ride on weekend

My mate said he's open to offers on the intense m1.

Here's a quick video from today, it doesn't really show how steep the hill really was.
