Went for my first ride today, a mixture of trails, road and a little quick DH. Did about 17miles maybe a little more and I am frigged, like actually shaking frigged but it was brilliant fun

Hardtail with around 140mm of travel on the front, that locks out too

There are alot of different types of full suspension bikes though, so I wouldnt rule them all out

just to give a few ideas of what to look out for. Personally I would be looking for specialized rock hopper Pro's at around £300

Lock out rear shock FTW Climbs nice and is great going back down
