platinum plugs are long life and designed to go into engines that are built for them plugs, they are a crap conductor but last for 50k plus! thatll be why there burning out. i noticed the difference straight away on my mazda 3, wrong plugs were fitted and when i put the right plat plugs in it cured it, but it was noticeably slower.

stick to what vw recommend, once you get over 300bhp then you should start looking elsewhere

yeah its a AGU . I have the right oil, 0w 40 castrol edge ,just under max. Why do the plugs metal  turn blue and a bit of white soot. Iv gave up on uprated plugs .Is it because its had a remap and they over heat. Denso ik22 go black with soot, i thought they were for stage 1 map( but they never died).  :undecided:

Is your car remapped? If so could be you're running lean and burning the plugs. Get it logged to see what's happening with the fuelling. My main concern wouldn't be the plugs but the cylinders , valves and rings melting.

I have no way of checking it. I know it leaks oil into intercooler, but dont smoke .But when theres to much ,on full boost it runs crap and a big cloud of blue smoke comes out. It hasnt done this with the nology plugs in .But i dont boot it .I have a month ago with ngk platinum and it pulls like a train ,gave a bike a good race from a set of lights. The NGK are perfect.  :undecided:
