french to german, which mk golf ?
« on: 19 December 2011, 00:59 »
hi guys im new here, never owned a golf before and looking for some advice.
my RS clio should be sold as of tuesday so ill have a nice pocket full of cash to spend, looking for a cheaper to insure car. narrowed it down to etiher a mk3 or mk4 golf.

now i can afford either, its purely down to which one i want. and i cant make my mind up

so help me out, whats the pros and cons of each car. i love the look of both for different reasons, i would be getting a 2 litre mk3 or a 1.8t mk4

cheers for any advice

They are the obvious choice, there's just something about the mk3 I love. And if I wait too long they'll be too old. Plus there cheaper so more money for toys

late mk3 if you want toys (and a 1.8t conversion can be done fairly cheap if you want power) or go for the vr6 if you need/want the noise

(both heavy with soft soggy ride as standard but a few choice mods and you can transform one)
