Or police who pull you after seeing bright HIDs on an old car, then investigate the MOT testers that passed you  :rolleyes:

Then the fact you are not insured as your car is not actually road worthy, thus invalidating your insurance should anything happen and your car be examined.   :wink:

This is a shame, as an MOT is a basic set of safety tests.  Feeling that it's OK not to comply with them is pretty disgusting.

Shame the MOT document is such a sh!t guide for ensuring an homologous, quantifiable level of safety.
Words like 'excessive' and 'loose' or 'play' wouldn't appear in a document.

I agree with the sentiment though, but I don't think anyone is suggesting that their mate would pass a deathtrap for a favour.
But as the MOt requires the testers judgement, it's mostly grey area anyway.
