since when has eu law superseded uk law? for a start there is no eu law, they have regulations, they have no real power to say any country has to obey them! otherwise the £ would have went years ago

Is Google broken for you?

It is the case, you're speaking nonsense.  Please stop.

yup, your right, im going from my work place, psv law, completely different. quick google confirmed

sh!t how my workplace doesnt have to comply to eu tho

I f**king hate the thingys who have standard headlights and HIDs. The term "I'm alright jack" comes to mind. They might be able to see better but the people driving towards them cant see a fecking thing.

not all of us have 12000k wit incorrect bulb positioning,
i for one have 6k with anti glare bulbs

Even 6000k is too bright I have found out. Could you explain how these anti glare bulbs work?

bulbs are yes, but youd need headlight washers and auto levelers for them to be legal though. so basically aftermarket HIDs wont be legal

likelyhood that all garages will care is pretty slim, nearly everyone knows a "friendly" garage anyway lol

I was on the motorway a few days ago, the amount of new cars with HID's "standard" with all the bull crap (auto adjusters and washers blah blah blah) i was blinded with them going in the oposit way and over taking me, a few of them even left me blinded (just could see white for a few seconds) one was a Q7 (11 plate) & a few various ones. whatever happens people will still get blinded with the HID's unless the mot tester adjusts them (but they wont as they hardly even check the headlight patters and position). the only cars that didnt blind me was the merc's.

Indeed, all HIDs are sh!t, far too bright. The only law I know of is the 55w max law, no law on actually how bright a unit is.
80% of your posts are total tripe, as they are mostly replies to sh1te posts created by the morons that, unfortunately this forum attracts.

Sounding like a broken record on this front, but no you don't.  The only legal requirement is for E-marked lamp units, which have been approved for HID use.

And the 'anti-glare' HID units still won't be legal on the above basis.  What's posted above sounds like sales BS to me, from a company selling dodgy HID kits.
Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.

Fortunately I kept my cat, just in case, but that would be bollacks!! :undecided: The irony being that my MOT test centre was the garage that fitted my decat!

I suppose I'll find out next month, as it due on the 26th! :lipsrsealed:
