Not that I'm biased having a 6 as a daily but these things are quick, even the Sport is a good laugh as a daily.

Mazda 3 MPS is a Focus in another suit.

(take that back actually, it's not).

However my car is based on the current Mondeo chassis but with it's own engine, no longer Fords.  Plus the suspension setup is different, more my style, the other half doesn't like it, too hard.

You were right, it is built on the c1 platform which is also used Ford Focus and c max plus Mazda 5, Volvo C30. S40, V50, C70 and the Ford Kuga.

From what I know about the mazda is you sure do get alot for your money. Bose stereo, half leather seats, xenon lights 18" wheels as std.

But you will need to save your pennies for the fuel. It should only be run on 97+RON fuel iirc and economy is pretty shocking if you dont hang around.

What I will say about it is that the figures dont really tell you how quick this car is in gear when in the turbo range. 1st n 2nd gears are limited but in 3rd... its pretty quick to say the least!!

I used to think these had the ST engine, but a little further digging found out they dont.  :nerd:
