bloody chinese spec handles. HELP

right bought some chinese spec handles for the old tank, but when i went to try and fit them, they will not mount properly, and its a right pain in the arse to do it.

I can get it all set up and in the right position and everything works, until i screw the bolt in that is in the inside of the door by the locking mech.

ARGHH it's driving me insane.

Can anyone help.  :angry: :angry: :angry:

nah, other than handles, wheels, exhaust and ride height cosmetically it is staying standard.

Check how tight you have the bolts.  If over tightened the handles will not function, and if too loose the obvious happens.....  They are not a great design from this point of view- took mine off after a couple of months as they were getting too rattly, but this may depend on which batch you have.

mine fit right in with no hassle at all did take me a while to figure out how the small screw on the handle went but even with the screw on the side of the door tightened the fit perfect. just make sure you got the small screw part setup correct if its a metal clip one i dont have a clue sorry :S

mine cover door damage there wider than the originals some fool broke into the car when i first got it, they didnt take nothing or do nothing as it was stripped of seats and carpets.

DONT DE-HANDLE YOUR DOORS!!!

Nearly failed my MOT yesterday as my chrome ones only open with a key that I only have. You twist the key and the door opens instead of pressing to release. So imagine the trouble youll get into if they were de-handled!

Not too keen on the uprated spec handles though. Think original ones with chrome inserts look cool :wink:
