Bad Idle ?
« on: 12 December 2011, 12:43 »
Just curious but iv noticed that when i drive up to a junction or traffic lights etc and come to a stop my revs seem to fluctuate for a second or to and then settle bk to around 8-900rpm, im assuming it has something to do with the maf< maybe not tho, any1 shed any light, thanks in advance

Id say if you have a 1.8t possible throttle body clean.
Take the intercooler pipe off and undo 4 alan key bolts, unclip any sensors or cable (AGU). Give the throttle body a good clean using carb cleaner this may sort the little fluctuations out.
1.6-1.8t AGU K03s, Forge actuator, Forge 007p, turbo back exhuast, Ths front mount, Catch can, 5 piece silicone boost pipes and creation sports tip. Stage 2 atm 232bhp 270lbs. Waiting for custom mapping :-)

I had this problem a few weeks back. Cleaned the TB and everything was back to normal. Car ran so much smoother after it too. It's worth a try anyway.

im sure this doesnt apply to my AGU engine as it has a throttle cable

Hold throttle wide open/ engine off and intercooler pipe off and get a cloth with carb cleaner on it and get cleaning .No need to remove it.  My hand fits inside that hole.  I just did mine again ,runs sweat.
