I have 301, deleted a few a while ago, but to be honest I don't take Facebook seriously, I just make random posts every now and then of websites and music haha. Im noy one to post up my life story on there...

Possibly. I just hate it with a passion. It's like, everything has a facebook page these days. You literally can not escape it.

My rant was purposefully exaggerated, to add to effect. 

In addition to the "facebook being everywhere" thing, I cannot understand why people do not want more privacy in their lives! You wouldn't carry a photo album round with you with private pictures in it and show everyone you met, would you?

I don't know - it just annoys me, the whole facebook mentality. I'm sick of being out and hearing "OMG did you see what she said on facebook?" and "Yeah, well I messaged her because her sisters dog's brothers fiancee posted that they don't like my mate on her wall"

but of that, is my bro and sister, sis in law, bro in law, mom in law, 3 of my closest mates who ive known all my life, and about a douzen work colleagues, the rest are within the cruise/car scene, including companies, etc

mine is mainly used for my car club interaction, obviously alot of people within the car scene are friends as well, but theres alot of people i dont know who but are there for what ever reason

unfortunately its a sad state now that people only really communicate through fb first, how ever did we cope without it...

I have around 170 and I know everyone of them either from the present or past. Some I may have met online but have met face to face. Only good thing to come out of FB in my opinion!!

Facebook although is generally quite annoying and i'm only on it to keep in touch with people. There is people you know locally and see in the town but talk utter tripe online but you don't want to offend them by deleting them. The beauty of the hidden status update lol. You can really come to a different opinion about people judging by what they post.

My profile is set up in such a way where I cannot get sent pointless notifications from pointless applications and games. Farmville?? If people put so much time and energy into creating a real farm instead of a virtual one they could make there lives almost self sustainable!!

Social networking in general is one of societies evil entities though, especially when everyone has there heads stuck in the iphones and all that. Such unsociable technology because people feel the need to roam these social networks while in the presence of actual real people. It all begun at the invention of the text message. Was good at the time but people don't relise the possible destruction. If all this technology collapsed tommorow and we went back to communicating via landlines it wouldn't be so bad. I would cope anyway.

i've got a little over 660, had nearly 900 but deleted a bunch of goons and losers, i know all of them personally, but wouldn't consider them all friends, it's useful to have people you know on there as getting in contact is hard, the people in my phonebook are who i truly class as freinds and family

I meet my friends down the pub on a Thursday, been doing it for years.

My misses has Facebook, farmville and cafe world and clicks things all night long, she gets gifts of homo purple fish frogs and stuff which keeps her happy

I cant make the pub next Thursday but we agreed last time we would meet on the 22nd, how does facebook make this easier?
I have a mobile phone if i need to speak with anyone in a hurry, and i have GolfGTI.co.uk if I want to talk or read bollox

people dont understand why i dont have it , not good for my career either
