That looks really tidy now.   Nice...

You're the second person I've seen on here that has wrangled a halfrauds trade car, how did you do it?  I want one.
if you're ever in need of a trade card and you're in the hinckley area, I have a trade card also

Cheers fella, I do come up your way (Burbage) but never for anything car related.. will keep that in mind next time.

Cheers mate!

I did some more useful stuff today too!  :smug: :smug: :smug:

Had it up on the ramps today, the workshop looked like a Dub specialist, it was awsome!!
Had a good go over underneath, and its surprisingly good! A little rust around the leading edge of the sills, but not bad at all tbh. Was expecting to have to rub all brake lines down and paint, but under all the crud, they looked brand new! Was well impressed! Its all new copper pipe, history of MOTs says OSF pipe excessively corroded in 2009, and was obviously replaced, but they must have done em all, all though there's no receipts for them being done. Tank straps needed a good rub down and hammerite, and most of the bushes are all very good too. Things I need to do though are rear bearing, both have ALOT of play in em, although theres no drone so it could possibly be cured by just doing them up a little. Gonna get new though as they could have had it and I'll just be delaying the inevitable. Its wierd cos they've been changed 3 times in 5 years according to MOT history. Something amiss maybe..... :undecided:      ARB droplinks need replacing as one side is all splitting and perished, and the only other thing is exhaust hangers! Both rear box hangers have proper had it!
Only other thing that needs doing under there is a star washer thing (whatever their called) that secure the heatshield. One is missing near the backbox causing a little bit of a rattle when cold at idle. Thats it though!  Here are some pics from today, not any up close of my car though, just a background of it up on the 2 post.

The garage looks

Glad the cars is seeming ok underneath,

are you taking the tank straps off to paint them or painting them on the car?

What's with the medical you've got in may? (if you don't mind me asking!)

I rubbed the straps down and gave em a careful go over the top, but I'm on the lookout for some new ones next month. Didn't want to attempt to take em off, in case the thread snapped and I had a hanging fuel tank! My medical is due to an operation I had on my ear last year. Its left me almost deaf in my right ear, and cant reconstruct my eardrum and bones as my facial nerve runs right across where they need to graft a new eardrum. They are considering whether I can be retained in May, but its not looking good. I've just been selected for promotion too which is sh!te, cos it will have no bearing on their decision either way.  Bricking it tbh, but then I keep thinking worse things can happen in life than me losing my job, and having to sell my house and move into a council house. My problems seem insignificant compared to some, so I'm just trying to get on with it as best I can.
