I'm allowed to be like that, i've had nothing but problems with my left ear, something doesn't work properly. Had two grommets, can't go underwater anymore the water doesn't drain and doesn't pop on the plane!

But, in all seriousness it's good to see that 'Raddo is starting to give some love back!

Well I've had a proper sh!t day!  Got the ramps booked tomorrow afternoon, but need to get back to pick the little un' up from school so wont have too long. In my infinite wisdom, I decided to do a couple of the jobs required pre-MOT whilst the car was parked outside. I was in a rush, as I also had to pick her up today, and only had about an 45 minutes. Jacked the back end up and replaced the zaust hangers no problem. Then the trouble started! As I was in a rush, I didn't bother with the wood before getting the trolley jack under the subframe as I usually do, I just used the widow maker on the sill. :embarassed: What happened - crushed the sill a bit, and the longer part of the lip on the jack pushed straight through the floor where I didn't think there was any rust. Turns out there is!
Cracked on after a few minutes of head in hands, and went to change ARB drop links. Old ones are genuine and have an offset drop, new ones are pattern and the thread comes down straight and in the middle. After a while trying to straighten it up and get it sitting right with enough of the thread through to put the bolt on, gave up and put original back on until tomorrow. Was rushing as had about 5 minutes to get it of the stands and get myself down to the school, flingin the scissor jack handle round, slips off, and catches me straight on the bridge of the nose! Big gash pissing out blood on the outside, burst vessels pissing out blood on the inside! Me majorly f**ked off! Pull myself together and get the kid from school, a few disapproving looks later and I'm back and have her settled, so give the oil pressure sensor a change. The spade on the top is a bit loose, and very occasionally I get a blip of the warning alarm. Thought I'd change it, and had to search for the right one as both that are on at the moment are non-genuine. Picked the high pressure (black) one up from VW today, as the other one is white and supposed to be low pressure. The guy gave it to me as a spare when I got the car, so I changed it there and then anyway. Turns out the white aftermarket one, is actually a high pressure one too FFS! So I now have 2 good high pressure sensors, and 1 shagged low pressure!   Another 12 quid wasted! I prey tomorrow goes ok, and it goes through the MOT on Tuesday without costing a fortune! That bit of rust isn't structural so shouldn't be a problem, but will also get it sorted asap. On the plus side, I introduced the missus to Campervan Crisis on Discovery Turbo today, and now she wants me to get one as a project!

Hopefully next time will be a better day for you!

Rushing is bad!.....  For a moment there I thought I was going to read that the car fell on you or something!   Be careful!

Hope the MOT goes OK.

Cheers guys, and thanks for thinking of my safety Shaun.  Well got up on the ramps today. And just realised as I type this, I didn't take any pics, sorry! Got on the four post rather than the 2, so when I did the ARB droplinks, it was under load and actually much easier to do than before.  One of the caliper carrier bolts was a nightmare to get off though! Thought I'd have to cut it off, drill and re-thread it for a while, but luckily a bit of heat from some oxy-acetylene got it off in the end. Turns out the bearing were good, but bolts were really loose, but at least I know the state of the car a bit more and they don't need doing now, and better safe than sorry by changin em anyway. Also changed my Alternator belt, but ECP advised me to buy the wrong PAS belt, so its too small!  Will need to exchange that when I get a minute. Also on the plus side, the guy doing the Bug said he'd weld the little hole in the floor for me, so I'll see him just after MOT time regardless of whether it passes or not.  Anyway, apart from that, I'm pretty happy its ready for MOT now.

Just noticed a centre cap and the bearing grease cap are missing on one wheel.
