Yeah, my car is back on the road now! Still got the other sill, the wings and the doors to do but at least she has a fresh MOT now :) Did you make it to the meet? I kept my eye out for you but I didn't spot the KR.......

Yeah I was there mate. I saw your car but didn't see anyone hovering round it so wasn't sure who you were!  I was right behind the fella in the frontera who planted in in a hedge on the way to budleigh! Saw a pic of your car on Swdubs phot section of the meet, with you driving so I know what u look like now, I'll be sure to say hello at the next one.

Took her on the first decent run at the w.end. Up to Bristol and back to drop the little un' off to the mothers house, as she's taking the grand kids to Disneyland Paris for the week. Bliss!!!!!
Anyway, car performed faultlessly! Well other than the flat battery Sunday morning, but I took the charged up spare with me so no problem there.
Also booked the day off work today for my first lie in since I cant remember when! Didnt happen though, body clock woke me at half 7! Oh well, cup of tea, bacon sarnie, and last nights top gear that I missed and I was ready for the day!
Decided to get to the bottom of the earth thats causing the flat batteries, and I think I've found it!
The uprated headlight loom runs across the top of the fan. It wasnt fitted very well, so was dangling slightly onto the fan. That caused the insulation to be rubbed through to bare wire on both cables, so a bit of heatshrink, some re-routing, and I think I've sorted it. Whilst I was at it, I took the battery and washer bottle off, and the airbox off the other side, and re-wrapped the wires with some loom wrap so it all looks much much neater now. Gave the chassis legs a good clean off, so all the gunk that was saturating the wires is all gone and looking much better. Gonna go give her a quick wash in a sec, and fingers crossed I wont have to change the battery on a weekly basis anymore!
