Nothing much to report, not done the service yet as I was given the wrong sump gasket. Didn't want to change oil etc then have to drop the sump, as I need to check the pick up gauze and oil pump anyway as the oil pressure alarm has beeped at me twice now. May be electrical, but better safe than sorry. Sister in law came over yesterday too with a whole lower suspension arm, some bulbs, and a rear bearing and pleaded for me to fit them!  silly cow got a phone call from police who are dealing with an accident she had last month, and told her that her Mot ran out in July 2010! Her response was, "no, I got a new disk in the window a couple of months ago"! You can't make that sh!t up! Women! anyway, she had her Mot and it failed on the above, but on the Arm, it was just a bush. She looked online for the parts, went to a motor factors and they persuaded her she needed the whole thing! Then she just rocked up and expected me to fit it all for her! Cheeky cow! I did but it's the principle! Anyway, weather has also been sh!t, raining on and off every day, so not had chance to go over it with the rotary either. Will try next w.end, and should have the new sump gasket by the end of the week provided the bad weather doesn't slow ECP delivery down even more apparently!

Got bored so changed air and pollen filters, plugs and leads, and had a look under as the zaust is blowing a bit. Coupler is now almost non existent, so just smashed in a load of gun gum, but will order a new one tomorrow. Exhaust is a wolfrace one, will swap it out for a decent one at some point, but it was "custom" by TSR in 2008 so it's not old and battered so will do for now. Been rained off again now so nothing else I can do really.

All parts now here, ramps booked for wednesday afternoon. Leads, dizzy, rotor, pollen filter already fitted (can't do plugs as don't have a deep socket), and jetex cotton panel filter cleaned and refitted. Roll on wednesday.

Changed the thermostat and coolant this afternoon. Weather was good so cracked on with it, and it started raining literally as I was topping up with water after bleeding - great timing! No photos, but will get some Wednesday when on the ramps. Only thing left to do is oil and filter, drop the sump and clean the pickup out and inspect the oil pump. Also inspect the underside properly and underseal anywhere that looks a bit ropey. Gotta strip the bedroom Walls and skim the ceiling this w.end so can't do anything on the car reference cleaning and detailing etc...
I also brimmed the tank and stuck in some BG44K so will report back with how it running etc in a week or so.

Just to leave u with a couple of camera pic photos of the bonnet bra on.

For the murdered look hmmmm...........
:undecided: not sure, exterior will be done over the summer months, but may think about that. Need to complete all mechanical things first. Gotta get the house ready and all checks done to rent it out by May so non essential car mods are on the back burner until after that.

Went out to pick the missus up from work this morning, and battery is dead again.  was supposed to be going up to Bristol for the day as my sister has just given birth to a little girl, but that's not gonna happen now  been struggling to turn over the last 2 days, but I thought I may have tightened the belt a little too much after replacing the stat. Actually loosened it off a little before I went to start it this morning but no chance. Battery is on charge, the it's alternator testing or earth testing depending when/if it fires later. This car really doesn't want me I swear! What with the hulabaloo on the day I picked her up, and all the problems since! Or she really doesn't fancy a couple of hours trip, as it's been just before I go up to see the family every time shes thrown a wobbly! It's hardto be cross with her though, poor baby.
