Does it have an aftermarket alarm?

Try taking the drivers door switch off and see if it stops it.

No it doesn't.

Drivers door would be a reasonable starting point, but it's odd that the light comes on after I've left the car, rather than doesn't go out - I've done the 'stand and wait for the courtesy delay' thing and the f*cker goes off.  It then comes back on 'later' - whenever that is.

Girlfriends Ka would do it. Pulled the door switch and it stopped. Replaced it and it didn't happen again. No idea if it's condensation or anything like that but couldn't see anything wrong with it myself.

Other than being Ford.

Anyone know if the 256mm solid disc set up uses the same hubs as the vented 256mm one?

As far I can remember from past work on mine (which is running Corrado G60 Calipers, mk2 16v vented discs and pads)  The only difference is the thickness of the disc, so if you swap out for vented, you will need to change your pads for those intended for vented.  I think there is 8mm difference between the two discs.

Edited because I got the maths wrong.

I had Mk3 gti with the interior light fault. I changed it for another one and it worked fine, must of been the delay in the light gone wrong.

Changing the car probably will resolve the fault with the interior light, but it's a bit drastic!
