H'mmmm, couple of odd rattling noises from the front O/S brake on the way round today.

Possibly the 256mm solid front discs and pads are nearly spent out.... not really surprising.

Anyone know if these brakes have those annoying buzzy metal strip wear indicators on these Golfs?

I feel it would be a shame to straight replace, so it's a result the Corrado had a set of deeply inadequate 256mm vented and grooved fronts that can be bolted up in due course.... giving me an excuse to get a degree of negative camber tipped in on the front, too.
