This did include a swift there and back to Beaconsfield, which might have knocked off an MPG over the month.

Not really - I sold a Subaru Forester XT a few years back, on the basis it wouldn't do more than 18MPG.  I've always been a tight-ar$e with fuel consumption.

Woh, that's bad, I may have to pass that info on as I have a friend who often tells me he want's to get a forester, even though I don't know what they're like I try to put him off the idea.

was the Forester a 2Ltr?

I like the Forester...more practical less showy

The Wife wanted the 2.0NA, but I said no way.

Probably should have split the difference and got a 2.5NA Legacy - did test drive one and lo it was great.

Test drove a 300bhp Impreza too.  Was told to give the keys back to the nice man before I lost my licence.

Easy to do in an Impreza, Now the Twin Turbo Legacy is a monster...B4 is it called?

MPG on last month's tank was about 50MPG.  Looks like it'll be the same again this month.

Had to add some oil to it last weekend.

Annoyingly I lost the trip value last weekend, so can't confirm MPG this month either.

However, this was because I disconnected the battery this weekend I treated it to the leather-bound wheel from the Cordoba.

M'mmmmm, comfy.

Another 546miles rolled on the odometer since the last tank of fuel.

50.7MPG over that period.

Applied this a couple of weeks ago, which is SO nice:



Also swapped wheels front-to-back to even up the tyres last night, as the fronts appear to be wearing inexplicably faster on the shoulders than the rears.

Needs negative camber, innit.

I also have the 256mm vented fronts off the Corrado, which will be fitted before very long, to stop the retardation being quite so rubbish.

After swapping the tyres I also adjusted the handbrake cables up, which gives a shorter throw, which is nice.

Strangely after 178k the drivers door has sagged on the hinges, so I took the dramatic move of adjusting the striker plate, so it no longer closes with a ba-dump, just a single syllable, which has a huge impact on the ownership experience as, let's face it - it's the door I use on pretty much every journey I make.
