By now you might well be running an unintended dry sump to later discover that it's not just the clock light that's not working, the oil light doesn't work either 

Just at the bottom of the 'zone'.

All good.

Might give it a drink this weekend.

I don't know a great deal about these particular TDI's.  My experience/ownership only goes as far back as a MK5 so am slightly curious about them.  Any TDI I have had from a similar era has not been VAG and have always consumed a lot of oil.

It was at the bottom of the 'zone' on the dipstick.

1/2 litre and it's to the top of the zone.  I'll have to see where it is at the end of the week - I'll update then, Sean.

Couple of upgrades planned in the next week.
