Transparent Tyres Tested on an Audi

Interesting concept if you haven't seen them already.

No Punctures, no tyre pressures to check and will clearly be a great criminal tyre as they look like they will be stinger/stop stick proof!

One down side I can think of is there would have to be many specific tyres made due to lack of adjustment in tyre pressure available to the consumer.

personally i think they look gash, rather stick with normal tyres

Yeah they do look really odd and it doesn't leave much space for rims sizes!  What's that Audi running 10's?  :grin:

Sound how quiet would they be  :lipsrsealed:

I did wonder................ Can't imagine there being much difference.

I don't know flappy flex bands sounds like a string instrument to me  :grin:

Considering the forces and weights they will have to withstand I doubt very much there will be anything flappy about them.  The rubber spokes would have to be very stiff.  I actually don't think they would be any noisier than what you already get with current tyres on poor road surfaces,

 :grin:  Very true, I would also imagine there would be a distinct lack of conversation on rim choices too.

I want a set photoshopped on my car!

Air will be forced in and out! Trust me that will make a heck of a noise!
