Transparent Tyres Tested on an Audi

Interesting concept if you haven't seen them already.

No Punctures, no tyre pressures to check and will clearly be a great criminal tyre as they look like they will be stinger/stop stick proof!

One down side I can think of is there would have to be many specific tyres made due to lack of adjustment in tyre pressure available to the consumer.

Yeah they do look really odd and it doesn't leave much space for rims sizes!  What's that Audi running 10's?

Considering the forces and weights they will have to withstand I doubt very much there will be anything flappy about them.  The rubber spokes would have to be very stiff.  I actually don't think they would be any noisier than what you already get with current tyres on poor road surfaces,

   Very true, I would also imagine there would be a distinct lack of conversation on rim choices too.
