They have to be noisy!

Air will be forced in and out! Trust me that will make a heck of a noise!

I trust you len

In every way..............

Hmmm, you may have a point, oh well, high end, super insulated cars only then... or my car as it's so noisy already!

I see the similarities but a run flat can only utilise very little space on standard sized rims, run flats are not soft and absorb pretty much nothing, to drive normally you are still reliant on the air filled tyre.

I imagine that the finished product would have a sidewall.

They have to be noisy!

Where is the air being forced in and out?

Between the spokes as the wheel rotates to the area that carries the weight.. I can't imagine it being that bad.

Again, where is the air being forced in or out though?

The wheel is not changing volume, it's just changing shape. Any thing causing friction will be noisey to a certain degree anyway.

I think they'd be good winter wheels if they get a decent snow tread.
No more egged rims when you inevitably slide into a kerb!!
