Tax Rebate

So got a lovely letter of HM Revenue Customs and am due a tax rebate from tax paid 5 years ago.
But it doesnt say when or how I will get paid it :undecided:
Anybody know?
I often wonder why people never expect sarcastic comments from me - they're the only reason I speak...

They sent me a cheque last time  :smiley:

I had one recently, not for much but cheque arrived about a week after the letter  :smiley:

They will sent you a cheque Steve.

If you complete form P50 (for a claim), they will pay it directly into your bank.

They do the calculations automatically, and then inform you of the rebate/underpayment. (when they're not on strike)

If you DIY, you complete form P50.  Mainly if you are on PAYE and have not worked the full tax year.

You give your bank details on this and hence auto payment.

You can claim back for the previous 6 years.
