Mk4 amp signal wire problem
« on: 01 December 2011, 21:28 »
I have recently added my sub and amp to my car, put all the wires through nice and tidy, set it all up and got it running, only to notice when I turn off my head unit the amp stays on ?

So I took out the head unit and checked the feeds from the car to find that the signal wire has a constant feed, even with the ignition off.

Surely this should go off when the head unit is turned off?? Or at least it did in my other cars.

The signal wire should be the blue remote lead.  Is the amp earthed correctly?

Yea all the wires are right, so I checked the feeds at the head unit conector, with the head unit disconnected and it has a constant feed down it from the car.
