wheel bolts

so with the bolts i got with the new wheels i bought are clearly too long, as they are knocking on the something in the rear brake drum. and would probably explain how i managed to cross thread another two of them.

do they come in different lenghts? also where do you measure them from. it is the top of the shoulder of from the start of the thread? because the length of the bolts i have in comparison with the old ones are the same from the the start of the thread. but the difference is in the shoulder.

so are there shorter length bolts available?

probably a stupid question i know . . .

Just trim a little off you bolts you already have.

anyone got any info on the dimensions for bolts as there seems to be a few different types.
can just use some 5 mm spacers as tyres will rub on the rear arches.

In that picture you have a radius type bolt and a cone type, you need to make sure the bolt matches your wheel or the two surfaces (wheel + bolt) will not mate correctly and your wheel will fall off and you may die  :smiley: but yeah as said trim abit off the length

Judging by past topics the op has Lenso's so he will need aftermarket type bolts.

You normally have longer bolts on aftermarket alloys due to thicker centers, factory bolts will work with both steel and alloy wheels hence being shorter.

yeah man i understand that  :cool:. im just wondering if im the only person to experience it? seems odd but wouldnt surprise me with my luck lately . . . :undecided:
