How many miles to £10? Haha!

I dont EVER "just put a tenner in" as it gets you know where these days.

I always fill it up which costs £60ish. I normally get 230-250miles to this roughly. That is a mix of motorway and country lanes. I very very very rarely drive in town or urban areas with traffic lights.

230-250 miles out of a full tank in a 2.0 ctr surely not,i get about 300-320 out of my modded golf vr6,you must be ragging the sh!t out of it,my old prelude 2.2 vtec did about the same as my golf maybe abit more

My friend has a civic type r ep3 which is really nice handles well and performance is pretty good its a little faster than my mk3 16v but he really has to rev the tits out of it which of course is the nature of the vtec engine  He also saids fuel consumption isn't the best but is alot better than his old 106 gti which he had for 4 years. My other mate has a clio 182 cup and loves it and again performance is very good and handles very well  Another of my mates currently just moved on from a corsa vxr which he spent alot of money on as they suffer from no.4 piston melting he works for forge motorsport so not to much of a problem he had it as there demo car at total vauxhall this year and uprated all parts for forge items etc etc was running 240bhp 260ish ft/Ilbs and he honestly said to me he struggled against my golf when it was standard and even after all this work didn't go past with ease so i'm not a big fan of them either. However he sold this last week and got a renault megane f1 225. Since fitted a forge front mount and remap is now 270 bhp 300 ft/Ilbs and i can tell you i went in it tonight and omg the power is very good with great handling  quoted one of the best handling hot hatches going and the mpg is better than his corsa was  so maybe something to think about as they can start from 3k+ now.

Search for the other civic thread as loads of Personal opinions.  I have owned both. Mile muncher the GTTDI out and out performance the civic. And a slightly big quicker than a 16v! must be ragged to fo0k then!!

Seruiosly quick if you know HOW to drive them and yes that means top end all day but for out of the box performance it's better than my mk5. They feel light and agile but still planted and plenty of feedback from the road. Tyres make a massive difference on these cars though...cheap brands will not reward you.  They Are also heavy on oil when pushed on a regular basis...shouldn't be as bad as they are but mineand my mates were the same plus a few others I spoke to.

Mpg is shocking and can be as low as 190miles to tank if on song all the time. It's only 45l tank tho. Golfs tank is bigger but expect between 400-600 in the golf depending on how you drive.  Plus the civic needs super so more expense.
