Dull question, but wht does it have an antenna?

I've had hard wired phone kits with an antenna, as that is physically connented to the phone, but none of the aftermarket bluetooth ones have had them.

It's for use with the rSap as the car kit becomes the phone and therefore requires an antenna, you can send texts, use it as a modem and the reception is much better than a non rSap kit.

Nokia did a brilliant bluetooth kit called a 616 that used rSap and you had to fit an antenna with those, the reception was also mega 

But mine is rSAP and it all works brilliantly without a shark fin!? Same with the RNS. Steve P fitted mine; perhaps VW should ask him to design their next factory install

I have an 09 reg with the shark fin, with a rcd510 and the touch bluetooth kit,

if i put a RNS510 in is the shark fin for gps also or only bluetooth.

I have 2009 gti with Rns 510 and it has a colour coded sharkfin on the roof.
It didn't come with Bluetooth , so fiscon was fitted afterwards, so I guess the sharkfin is for the gps

Got mine in Sept, does,nt have a shark fin on. vw bluetooth is excellent. Think the aerial is in the rear window?
