Fly high and get a GTI. Spec ACC and you've got one of the best road cars around.

No the GTD is miles better with DSG

I had adaptive suspension on a previous car and every time I got to the end of a twisty road I realised I still had the car in 'comfort'. It was a complete waste of time. If you have DSG are you really going to drop the gear lever to 'S' and then fart about with suspension setting to 'sport' everytime you want to overtake a bus or go a little faster. After the first month boring the wife and kids to death about your suspension settings, you'll never touch it again. Get the lux pack and sunroof. My GTI on 18s and fixed rate suspension is absolutely fine. I also have the sunroof which brightens up the cabin loads. looks cool too.

I think some people here have not quite got the point.... They talk of their GTI with/without ACC/sunroof, but what Ann has asked is appertaining to the GTD which in standard suspension form has the ordinary Golf 'Sport' springs/dampers *NOT* the GTI kit....................

Although I wonder what the GTD ACC kit is based on?

Ann, I have 18" wheels on my GTD and don't have ACC. For me, the ride's absolutely fine and I don't find it uncomfortable.
