Wouldn't bother pulling a k-jetted abf out of another mk2, just pick up a complete abf with proper digi management and put it in yours. They can be had complete for 200-400 quid. Decatted with decent exhaust and a healthy serviced engine should easily see you at 160bhp and 40+ mpg on motorway runs. You can run an abf on digi off a mk2 8v fuel pump,  but much better to swap in a mk3 16v/vr6 fuel tank with the built in fuel pump :)

thanks for all the info been on a swap sight as after swapping another car i have and just saw the mk2 on there
so i would be better just getting a mk3 and using the engine gearbox ect out of that then?

Yes a donnor car would be far cheaper option, as you have everything instead of trying to miss matching a Frankinstein monster :wink:  :grin:
