just a normal thread on the cam, i assume this is to take the pulley off??? if you cant get it off, don't bother, you dont need to.

so how do i get round taking the pulley off then?? because ive been told i dont need to take the cams out?? cheers

wait a sec what engine is this? sorry i assumed it was an 8 valve, don't have a clue about 16's

ok i shouldn't just assume!!! not sure what need to be done to get the head off on a 16valve!

finally i am 4 bolts underneath the exhaust (that i cant get to) away from taking the head off, how the hell do you get them rusted nuts off when you cant see them or even get your hands in?? its way too low to get underneath aswell!!, anyway il have another go tomorrow, so far its been easy enough for me to do but only because on the help from you guys!! thanks ive nearly saved myself 200 quid, thanks

don't thank us yet you haven't sorted it!!! the bolts from the manifold to the downpipe are a cow!! because they get soo hot they get all f**ked up. spray loads of wd40 on them then get a socket set with a extension bar. i use one with a wobbly head to get round the down pipe from below. b!tches but its the only way to get them off.
