I pulled up the sill trim and ran it along close the chair then pushed it under the carpet and fed it up through the hole where the airbag wiring is rather than under the chair rails.

So infront of the seat rails, then? I felt around that moulded box (with the harness in it) under the seat but couldn't see a way of getting the wire to it without a bulge under the carpet. Might have another look tomorrow. Cheers.

Quite enjoyed mucking about today. Overcome the initial trepidation of yanking bits of trim off and it turns into a nice little challenge.

What fault code is it showing?

The coding is pretty straight forward via the long coding helper but as it's a new module it needs initialising (i.e. entering a workshop code etc).

Also needs to be enabled in the Can gateway (77 Telephone).

I'm all up and running and although it's early days, I'd say it's head and shoulders better than the Fiscon it replaced. Sound quality's better, there's no interference / feedback when taking a call, it always goes back to the music when a call is finished, and there's a massive reduction in "dit dit-dit dit-dit" mobile-phone-on-a-speaker type noise coming through the speakers.

Only one tiny thing...

I have my contacts on my phone as "Smith John mob" etc.  But on my RCD510 they appear as "mob John Smith". Any way of getting the oem bt to show them exactly as my phone? Ta.
