5 pages of thread and all you need to do is turn the radio up a bit...

But if you are saddled with any VW OEM sound system the distortion would be unbearable.

Thanks pal so do I.

I fitted a diesel under tray today and didn't tell my missus. After a short drive she commented on how the car seams quieter than the other day. So result! Good start.

Nice one. Just got my dealer to order an under tray. My car seem quiet but I don't mind it being even quieter. :)

That pounds the same to me.

It won't be like a new car but it is better. All these little things add up.

Will do I presume they are blocks in the springs or something like that.

Had the winter tyres fitted yesterday. The first thing I did this morning was turn the radio down. Normally, I have to turn it up at a certain point on my journey to work. I used to think there was a problem with the radio as I just could not hear it properly at normal driving speeds. It was hard to believe the difference the winter tyres have made. The car was so so quite this morning.  Even on the roughest, most noisy part of the road the sound levels did not rise. Infact the most noise was coming from the engine - not the road!

The car now sounds as quiet as I thought it would. As I spend so much time in my car on poor roads - those Bridgestones are not going back on in the summer!

Hello.

I have stuffed every corner of the rear of the car with dynamat and sound absorbing sponge etc. I have taken pictures all the way and once I figure out how to get them off my phone and onto the forum
I will put them up.

The end result is much much better, especially the rear wheel arches.

I have done some basic db readings before and after and will publish them also.

I did this for you so give me a hug.

Bye.
