Keep an eye on talkaudio as bits often come up. Mulletboy2 on there often sells bits of the collections of ODR stuff he has.

As said perviously I would check all door alignments and esp the rubber around all of these. I had to have mine adjusted a number of times

I actually have no problem with the doors or windows. It must be the rear quarters, I don't remember the brochure mentioning the 3door package with optional resonance chambers.

Just another thought .. you could check your suspension bushes are'nt worn/hardened/out of shape, as these transmit the vibration and noise into the chassis.

I used to drive Vauxhall Vectra's  (as company cars ) and a later model was a lot noisier than an earlier model I had.  The garage said that the suspension bushes had been changed between models and a lot of customers had complained about road noise.

I'm not sure wheel size makes a huge difference .. the road noise with my current R (on 19"'s and Dunlop Sportmaxx GT's) is quieter than my Mk5 Gti (on 17" Continental Sport Contact II's)

Which is really odd cause my Winter Contacts on 18's are far quieter than my Dunlop Sportmaxx GT's on 19's!

Not really, as my Contis were the Summer Contacts and the older 2's version (not the newer 3's that are now out) and not the softer Winter rubber like yours.  Plus the Contis were on a Mk 5 Gti, not the current Mk 6

Try different tyres

Michelin Pilot Exaltos or Vredestein Ultrac Sessantas

I went from the original 18" Bridgestones which I thought were ok to the Vredestein Ultrac Sessantas and even my wife commented on how noisy they were!!!!!  They did settle after a few 100 hundred miles but still nosier than the Bridgestones if you ask me.
