Ive got an engine hoist with a hook on it, I didnt get anything else with it, was expecting something to wrap around the engine or something. Never used one before so Don't know how I need to support the engine. Ive got a wrap around thing that supported my engine in transit, needs a quick answer as wou7ld like the engine out today.
Thanks

Nope cant use that, so basically got an engine hoist sitting there for a week not being able to use it, why wouldn't it not come with lifting equipment so it can actually be used.

They never come with anything, I usally use a few feet of chain with bolts through the links to hold the engine, or on cars anything will do,old seatbe
Ts are a favoret, as are small ratchet straps if needs must even blue rope

Ahhright thought they might come with something. I've found this from machine mart
http://www.machinemart.co.uk/shop/range/guid/EFB02A37-CF38-406B-8839-C255122309F6
so would that be ok to use 1tonne lifting so I'd presume so!
Thanks

Do you mean the inner cv joint to flange? they are spline headed bolts.

Yes mate, just bought a clarke tool kit as wanted it out today, but all but one of the bolts are rounded , couldn't get the spline bit to grip, even with hammer it a bit and pushing against it, it just slipped all the time
So god knows what I'm going to do now, hammer in a bigger spline bit?
