G60 needs help
« on: 30 October 2011, 02:47 »
Just bought a G60 today, engine has done 100k miles. some steam come from the engine when opens the oil cap.....drives fine.
someone told me it needs to be rebuilt or engine swap. It really pulls well at the moment. Just wonder does the normal mk2 8v engine fit the go60?
I bought the car for £1500 with mot and tax. Not sure it's a good deal or not.
Also I saw this for sale from Germany, just wonder if it fits the G60.

Can anyone help?Thanks.

It's a LHD G60 fire&ice, I believe it's original. the steam is from inside the engine, can't see any of them when engine is running, only see it if i open the oil cap. Not sure if I got a deal or it's too expensive. it's got all the mots in uk, service book from germany, so the mileage is correct.

I think I'll have to rebuilt the engine. Please can anyone give a idea how much will it cost and which garage does the job better? the supercharger has been rebuilt by G-werk. so the charger does not need rebuilt.
