I NEED HELP!!!! I'M SWAPPING THE ENGINE IN MY MATES CADDY AND I NEED HELP. THE CADDY ENGINE WAS A 1600cc CARB'd ENGINE AND I'M FITTING AN ENGINE FROM A 89 GOLF GTI 8V. WE'VE DECIDED THAT RATHER THAN TACKLE THE INJECTION WIRING WE'D FIT TWIN WEBERS, 40'S OR 45'S. I HAVE VERY LITTLE KNOWLEDGE OF ENGINES SO I DON'T KNOW WHAT COMBINATION OF THE 2 ENGINES TO USE. 1800 BLOCK, 1600 HEAD? IF I USE THE INJECTION HEAD HOW DO I BLANK THE INJECTOR HOLES? THE MAIN ISSUE IS WHAT PARTS I WILL NEED FOR THIS CONVERSION AND WHERE TO SOURCE THEM, IE FUEL PUMPS, REGULATORS, WHAT JETS TO USE, WHAT CARBS??? IS FITTING THE CARBS A WISE MOVE? ANY HELP WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED, CHEERS BOYS.
