So buy wisely and you'll have fun, the thing is with a Porsche it's not always how fast you go, but how you go fast ;)

Amen to that!!

Exactly, my 911 probably has the same amount of power than most GTi's these days and can only just hold it's own at traffic light grand prix with some of the faster stuff, but the driving experience is totally different.  They are built and designed from the onset as a sportscar not a hotted up hatcback, so the driving experience is miles apart.  They just delivery all the way through the range and just want to give more.

Go drive one.
Find a twisty road and go see if you gel with it.
Then you'll know.

It may not be the fastest car in a straight line...911s aren't (unless they are turbos) but on a twisty, challenging road...they are brilliant to drive.

911 Turbos make me giggle like a child.  Drove my friends late 70's 4 speeder Turbo quite a few times and the way they accelerate, even the old ones, is mind blowing and very addictive.

I was thinking of purchasing a friends Z4 cab (good price) but I was put off as they do look like girls cars!

Get a 993 Porsche with a HUGE spoiler and be done with it
