The turbo is on and running.

0-60mph is now 4.9 seconds and 0-100mph is 12.3 seconds - down from 5.0 and 12.9. and this is still on the same Revo mapping.
1/4 mile is 13.6 @ 104.7mph.

Live logged the intake temps and the water meth is really doing the business. 30oC pre-throttle valve temps and yet when the wmi is on the manifold intake temps drop below 19oC from the same as the throttle valve temps. Not sure I even need the Pace i/c and rad!  :surprised:

Also the boost is running okay at 0.1bar over requested, so no way out over-boosting.

Could do with a DSG map though to make things just how I want.

Glad its all worked out mate!!  Guess you won't know about the HP/torque figures until on a dyno, got one booked soon?

I guess you will be getting a custom map now for the new turbo etc? And a DSG map? Is that so you change the way the DSG box works, ie shift timings etc?

I'll be doing a dyno before the 18th and hopefully a full ecu map before then too. The DSG map still hasn't been fully developed by anyone, so I guess i will have to wait for that. The DSG map would allow a Manual lockout of kickdown when in manual mode and hopefully allow some sort of launch control mode too.

Wolverine, the decat is a 2.75" bore to match the Milltek that is already there.

Well I'm back from the 30-130 day and apart from the poor weather conditions ( rained nearly all day ) the baby GTI performed faultlessly. After discussions with people who had been before and looking at past result I had set myself targets of 30-130 at 25-30 seconds and a top speed of 140mph.

Top speed achieved was 142.97 mph ( showed as 160 mph on the speedo )
30-130 mph was done in 24.04 seconds

So mission achieved on both accounts. 

What I didn't realise was that the airstrip wasn't flat, which I thought it would have been. There was a significant incline for the first third of the strip, then flat in the middle and then back to an incline for the last third. With this and the fact the surface was soaking wet the times for everyone weren't as good as expected. I had to start off the runs in third gear after finding out that a second gear start just ends up in a hail of wheelspin!

To give you all some idea of where I came in the overall standings, I came 38th out of 69 runners and beat some serious cars - R32, MKII Focus RS, beat some Scoobies too.

Not bad for a little 1.39 litre car eh?
