looks nice mind, i want a bike so bad, but need a car more cause of 15 mile journey to work so wouldnt be able to get there on a bike if it snowed. and cant afford both atm.
as soon as im 21 and insurance goes down to a respectable amount. first thing im doing is test then start saving for a cheep bike :)

Its a 98 and it cost 1300 quid. I have been looking for ages and had theory booked before I deployed but got moved forward so couldn't do it.. I have bought it to push me to do my test and its gone into the missus dads garage. Got new fork seals, new mot, new brakes and decent looking chain and sprockets. I need to watch out for the Cam Chain Tensioner but the bike generally looks in tidy nick, standard pipe, two owners from new with 26k on the clock.

When do you get back from Afghan? The reason I ask, is that I bought a bike for the commute to work in summer last year, and it was great for a few months. As soon as winter came (which was especially harsh) it sat in the garage until March as I couldnt bear freezing my tits off! You cant just jump on and go either, fannying about putting your leathers on is a pain in the arse!

Is that right?
when I did my test I was told I could ride up to a 125 on a cbt,
if I passed my test on a 125 I could ride any bike providing it was restricted to 33bhp
and if I passed my test on a 500 I could ride any bike unrestricted.. I went for option this option

@bored_welsh_lad my tip would be to go through Direct Access once you have done your theory test...
