Dont worry about it, I own R-Tech and I am in the same situation dude.... I want more power, I am already around 400bhp 12.6 1/4 mile, and would like another 200bhp, We have been finishing off a skyline today and it pushed 590bhp on the dyno, which is my aim for my GT35R setup.. :smug:

Back to topic.  Mates 1.8T in a ibiza mk3 k03 does very similar, except its the other way round.  Holds boost fine in 1st and 2nd then there is very little boost in the higher gears.  Turbo is smoky (oily) so I take a guess its on its way out with the actuator and the seals.

Tried a spare N75 valve and its the same so further investigation needed.
