T304 is what I'm thinking for that money even if it is chinese, but the kit is cheap and people have been doing fine with the replica turbo's some minor work does need to be done to some of them.

If I had a AUM ecu in my AGU T304 is what I would do.

I reckon you could BT a golf for less than £1500, doing the work yourself.  Worst expediture is the turbo....  Probably followed by the rods.

Why you think the AUM ecu is better for big turbo than the AGU?

DBW on the 7.5 ECU, I think big power would need some traction

I was in a throttle 1.8T a3 with 400+bhp, putting power down seemed a bit difficult in 1st and 2nd... but it's preference at the end of the day, do you want the raw feel or do you want traction ensuring acceleration is utilized?

The 7.5 ECU also has a few tweaks like launch control where you allow the turbo to boost up in a specified rev range.

Yeah and rods are a pain in the ass to do on a car you need to use every day lol, was thinking of going that far with mine but changed my mind.

270 will be enough for me, can't get too greedy.

I don't want to mess with injectors and fuel pumps etc

I'll be getting an FMIC as my next mod just for the consistency and additional cooling.

I dont know the condition of my K03 because we didnt get the car from new, it's done 125K

Mods so far:-
Remap stage 1
007P
deleted N249
cat back exhaust
CAI
and the FMIC on the way

This might help a ARZ build thread with k03s http://uk-mkivs.net/forums/t/405246.aspx?PageIndex=2

K03S on the ARZ will be a direct bolt on jobbie, the injectors and maf will be up for 240bhp+ easy with your current hardware setup inc the FMIC you will be looking around 210bhp, but get a decat or sport cat fitted along with a custom map setup and your looking closer to 230bhp 250+lbft

I have tuned a few ebay turbos 03s & 001 without issues afterwards, the only issue have been with the waste gate setup not being flush and the waste gate whole being around 3mm too small, which reduces the flow.

You could always get a naff k03s and bolt the cold side to your k03 to make a goos k03s..

This is what I am looking at, I have just brought the manifold for it, and looking in the USA for some 700cc+ injectors..

Already running the same turbo on two customers cars at 508bhp with Omex D600 ecu.
