£30 fine but would you get any points because If so then no way would I bother..

No points for a smaller plate...  Do yourself a favour if you do it though, make sure your font, spacing etc is legal.  Otherwise you really will be asking for attention.

No points, however after being caught twice I believe they can apply to have your reg removed.

Only if it's a private plate though surely?

No, I believe they can do it on a standard reg and you end up with a Q plate.

Never ever heard that one!... I thought a Q was purely for a car that's true identity is questionable, foreign, or proof of age is an issue.

I believe that is what can happen, when I was fined the 2nd time for german plates he did tell me it was my last chance.

Well he told me they can get the reg removed but as I said I have never confirmed if that is correct, I would guess that they would only do it on private regs but not sure. :undecided:

Need to ask a copper i think to clear it up.

But im sure it depends on which copper you ask

Fook what a copper would say for the reason you just posted.

Mess about with private plates and ignore warnings and fines I'm sure they have a right to take it off you, other than that.............?

Try A1 Show Plates. Always been good when I wanted a small (12" x 3") plate for my Scooby or Skyline.
