The Snow Queen is Rolfe with her amazing iced walled drive. But she only uses winters in the front. This caused a monumental drama with some posters. It was a hot topic whilst our butts were freezing.

Amanda was toying with the idea of a Freelander as she  was housebound at some stage, then slipped and slid all over the moors like a drunken Mira Hindley until she bought winter boots.
Then in the summer, 6 months later, it was Fiesta time. But she saw sense again and kept playing Golf. Now what will me-lady want in 6 months from now?

No Freelander, no Fiesta, the GTI is all I want and will be staying with me for the forseeable future.  It is as I have said before everything I want in a car and the build quality is fantastic (I know some of you disagree) as far as I am concerned.

Yeah that's the one - cheers!  I quite like the look in a sort of sleeper or rally slag way!

I've been doing a bit of a nose round and am thinking about Autec Zenit alloys like below, are those 17's or 18's? I think they're 18's but would think the 17's would look ok!  then with some Vredy's.

"What's peoples perception of Autec?"

Read this:
http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Article/2011-Auto-Bild-Winter-Tyre-Test.htm
Interesting...

"Auto Bild, well known for their excellent tyre tests, have recently tested 11 premium winter tyres and 1 premium all season tyre in the popular 225/45 R17 to create their 2011 winter tyre test."

Here is another review from that website, with completely different results...  :undecided:

http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Article/2011-ACE-Winter-Tyre-Test.htm

"[ACE] tested 8 winter tyres in the popular 205/55 R16 91H size on a VW Golf."

Edit to add: In those reviews, when you click on a tyre you are interested in, a page will come up showing - previous reviews the tyre was in, what place the tyre was in the review and what size of tyre was being tested. It would appear that most tyres perform very differently when tested in a different sizes.
