15mm spacer / adaptor trouble

Has anyone had an issues using these?

I fitted some 5x100 - 5x112 adaptors today
Done all the bolts up as tight as can be, went for a drive and after a couple of miles i noticed some serious vibrations so pulled over and all my front wheel nuts were incredibly loose.
I have 15mm on the front, 20 rear. rears were fine. I'm guessing the bolts are too long for front, so when they appear to be tight, they're not?

If this has happened to anyone before, do you know what size bolts i might need?

Sounds like they may be bottoming out, take a wheel off and see how much thread is showing.

Only other thing is are they the correct taper / fit for the wheels.

what do you mean by 'bottoming out' ?
And they're the same wheel bolts i was using for my VMR 710 alloys - now being used on mercedes AMG slot style alloys

Well if the bolt is too long it will be hitting the disc and not tightening up.

Essentially what i was saying, just never heard of the phrase bottoming out used with bolts - confused me.
I'll take off the adaptors tomorrow and bolt them to the wheels and see if they stick out or not. Cheers

They will 100% stick out around 3mm

That would explain why the backs are fine and the fronts not. Do you know where i can get wheel bolts from?
Near me i have a euro-car parts, wilco, halfrauds and unipart.

I've only ever bought wheel bolts online but really need my car this week so would be ideal to get it sorted tomorrow.

Just grind or file them down the 3mm or so.

Exactly,take the adaptor off,put the wheel bolts through the adaptor,grind off the required amount and unscrew them,this will clean up the thread for you

Grinding disk (used to sharpen chisels etc..)

Failing that, angle grinder..
