If the 16x16 Lambda at part load map was left as generic spec2 settings the the fuel would be fine, but on the last session I spent all that time on the dyno with them dodgy spark plugs and in the midrange I upped the fuel request.   I think the quick way would be use the stock 16x16 and tweak it from there as I know its a close match for the yellows at 2.75" ID  maf flow.

How do you reckon mine will fair if I do the same as Chris? If it's not worth fitting them until I come up to you next I'll just make sure everything works fine and leave them locked away

Looks like it would be a bit better than mine if your on a stock spec 2 map.  As Nick said, we tried hard to see what we could do midrange/top end and hence there is more fuelling in there than needed for the yellow tops.

I have a fair idea how I want the car to feel when its done.  I think if we can work with that extra torque you found 600rpm in the rev range quicker and get that done nicely, without putting too much stress on internals, and the power you feel on stock injectors just after the initial spike to the redline should be onto a nice one.  No idea of capabilites of the turbo for that but im sure we can get something worked out :)

Ill just stick a set of NGK R in (OEM replacements) and a oil change and should be it really.

Mine's not on a stock spec2 AFAIK, Nick did mention that the stock injectors were topped out at 229bhp so it was taken back a bit to be safe

Got plenty of time as they need to be cleaned first

Yeah, Just a one of those things.

You will need to use the 20v upper 'o' rings though as the vauxhall ones are too chubby to fit in the 20v fuel rail.

:) always worth doing.

I nicked one when putting injector in so leaked fuel.  Changed it for a new one and still no leaks since it went in.  Still keeping a eye on them though!

I had the nice dirty patches around the injector seats not so long ago so replaced everything to cure that. Now the manifold is black I couldn't see them if they were leaking lol

chris do you know is you can use red top injectors on are setups they flow a bit more then the yellow tops

 i found these ones 315 cc/min , 14.5 ohms , high impedance

and these ones 350cc/min @3 bar 12.0 ohms high impedance

cant find any good looking yellow tops with out buying second hand and then getting them serviced

k04s | jabba cai | stage 2 (Rtech) | forge 007p | forge boost hose set |forge tip | THS fmic | gen r line kit | bbs ch | TT short shift | R32 vents | full stainless | decat | auto windows | mk5'd boot
need a scan or mod with vagcom & vagtacho PM ME (south wales area)

Mine werent serviced.

No idea what other ones you can use, but I remember Nick saying the yellow tops have flowed 270bhp on their tests, or something along those lines - more than adequate for a k03s.
