been good for over 12 mths  :smiley:

thats what am worried about the gross misconduct but surely evry 1 who has f**ked big jobs up should follow suit i dont fancy being made an example of  :angry:

i wrote off £250,000 of equipment at one flick of a switch :smug:

Told my boss, who said " sh!t happens and you owe cakes "

which was nice

I can black cat that chuffy, I "lost" a £320k gyro as I forgot to collect it from the Jetty before we sailed for the a week of exercises. Wasn't there when we got back. That got written off after c126 action was threatened luckily! :huh: :embarassed: :evil:

If your boss does decide to dismiss you, then he must give you a full explanation in writing, and offer an avenue of appeal.

He would struggle to dismiss you as it's very hard to sack people nowadays. Sounds like you made a mistake due to not being properly equipped for the job. If he sacks you take him to a tribunal !

well ive been told they,ll be intouch for a 2nd meeting so just have see what happens  :undecided:

i will defo give them a call  :smiley:

ive always worked since i left school iam 28 now  so will be a shock to the system could end up a slob playing video games alday in a pair of y fronts  :laugh:

seriously,get yer self down to citazens advice,they'll put you in touch with legal people who'll love to get their teeth into your 'boss' as he sounds a bit of a pratt. are you union at your place of work? if so,join pronto and they'll represent you as part of yer union subs.

1. Have a look at your contract for their disciplinary procedures.
2. As above, speak to ACAS
3. Citizen's Advice Bureau is another place you can take your contract through and discuss what actions you can take.
