K03 or the k03s???? Searching......

Ok..... As your well aware from my last post I'm having a few mixed decisions on what turbo I need.

My turbo blew on the way back from working in France and my poor little motor is stuck in the middle of a fricking no where village at a French hill-billy garage and I'm back in the uk having to use my legs lol.

Is there any way in the world that I would beable to know if the turbo on my car standard is the k03 or the k03s WITH-OUT being able to look at the part personally.

Sorry about the rant lol and thanks to those who gave me the info on the last post.

If anybody can held with this I would be highly greatfull.

engine code or going to vw and asking them to find out (which they proberbly will find out by asking you your engine code/registration and type it on the system to find out engine code)

to me though sounds like a good time to upgrade to the k03s :D

Well my reg is Y395 TKP which I'm guessing it 2001.

The engine number on my v5 reads AUM028888 if that's any help.

I just spoke to a mate about the k03 and the k03s and apparently the k03s is for the anniversary golf. (180bhp)

Just to clarify my car is the 150bhp and not the anniversary 180bhp

K03s came on all golfs after 2001?  AUM onwards.

AUM 150bhp & AUQ 180BHP both have the same turbo and hardware the extra 30bhp comes from the ecu software.

Hi all again.

Does anybody know the part number to an AUM turbo K03s?

Spoke to Volkswagen today but they refused to give me a part number as Im not purchashing the turbo personally from them.

If anybody knows this would be great.

i got a k03s in the garage it has done 62k :) no cracks how much you wanna give me for it  :grin:
