Hi guys last night i was on a night out with my work mates and ended up getting my phone stolen.
Somebody has asked to borrow a call... so i did (stupidly) they have then bolted off with my phone.
I chased them to an alley were he pulled a knife on me or at least pretended to im not sure and wasnt willing to risk finding out.
Anyway, then he ran off again so i chased him again cos i was very p*ssed off i caught up with him and got him to the floor and in a head lock but then his mates arrived and took my phone off him and did one with it. Eventually i let go of him and he ran off but shortly returned with a bottle in his hand. Fortunately for me the police arrived and arrested him.
Hes currently locked in a cell and due to appear in court. I have given a full statement.
My question is will i have to appear in court? I really do not want to and i can hardly remember much of what happen as i had had a skinful (it was a colleagues leaving do).
I dont want to appear in court and i dont want this to go any further because i have enough to think about right now. Im not that arsed about the phone i just want to forget about the whole thing.

So yeah, if anyone has had any similar experiences let me know.

Thanks
Ryan

sorry to hear about the incident, whether or not you want to appear in court I guess is up to you whether you press charges... however.. is it not your civic duty to make sure that this individual is prosecuted and is pulled up in front of a judge? you never know... it might make him think twice before pulling this stunt again, injuring, maiming or fatally wounding someone. or are you going to let the scum continue to get away with it?

hi there, right i'm pretty sure this is street robbery? therefore since the police are involved and this thingy bag is in a cell then its down to the cps (crown prosecution service) as to whether he faces a court appearance in which you will have no choice but to attend to give evidence, i hope the dirty scumbag gets the book thrown at him aswell as im sick of hearing about these theiving f**kwits getting away with this kinda sh!t

witness protection act, tell them you are feared for your life and they should just do a line up and you can pick which one it is and they will prosecute him without you going court,if its a magistrates there is probably a chance he will get a slapped wrist if its crown he is going down for 18 months+,and i hope its the latter lol
