I got those lights, got bored of them in that form so turned them into this:

Make sure you get orange bulbs too if you haven't already :)

What interior you gone for?

Does that mean you can now get back to plans seeing as you found a cheaper starter motor?

I have those lights too Dan. They're a bit marmite I think, but should look good with your colour car.

Hopefully my plans can continue now yeah!

The lights were second have so came with the bulbs and carriers too :) Although I need to get some chrome plated indicator bulbs as I hate that  I can see the orange.

I've got some black leather interior lined up from a VR6  I've always wanted leather so this makes me very happy!

I know what you mean about them being a bit Marmite man. I'm still undecided if they will stay as they are or not yet. I planned to tint the indicator section red and get some green bulbs so they still glow amber  However I decided just to rock them as is for the time being!

My dear golf is suffering from major faded paint and in the last year has had a fair few more parking dents appear from nowhere so I need a repaint.

So here is the plan:

Smooth washer jets in the bonnet

Smooth side repeaters

Smooth Rear handles

Repair the rust underneath the OSR light

Repair patches on both sills

Colour code VR6 bumpers and side mouldings

My dilemma is this:

Black or Red???

I will also refirb my wheels at the same time, colour suggestions??

If I go Black I want to keep the engine bay Red as a feature so I don't think Pink would really work. Although I would be well up for rocking some Pink winter wheels for fun

Set to replacing my side lights and number plate lights that arrived to day! Turns out the NSF and NSR sidelights both wont work even with new bulbs  Fuse maybe??

Replaced my number plate lights but dropped one of the covers down the drain. NOT happy. So after all my effort, I still only have sidelights on the OS and one numberplate light working. Albeit the other one instead. Good job the Golfie is still off the road till the new starter motor arrives lol!

Sidelight problem solved thanks to my handy Haynes manual! Now I just need to find a 10a fuse from somewhere. I knew I should have bought a assorted pack last time I had to replace a fuse.........
