Train fares - bloody cheek

Bound to go up as the companies will try it on. And it's goi g to be superbusy with the olympics. I see the government is trying to suggest thatcommuters should use their bikes and run to work or go in a bit later to avoid the crush.

Makes me so angry this government. Looling after the rail company bosses at the expense of the commuter who has to cram themselves in carriages like cattle.

How do we show our dissatisfaction? Rip off Britain strikes again

Piss take

Sick of bloody national rail. My gf pays an astronomical amount to commute to her new job in London at the mo. Had to do a four hour round driven trip the other morning to get her there in time because the trains were heavily delayed (for the third time that week! - she couldn't face having to say she was late because of the rail service again).

The missus is only on £200 a month (intern ship) and she spends £180 on the train. They are wayne kerrs.

Was a few people about to talk to this morning at London bridge, however i was late because the trains were delayed.

Irony meet definition

Ridiclous, puts me off looking for jobs in London knowing the fares will carry on increasing with sh!ttier services each year.

The lovely nigh on empty first class carriages that roll by as me an the rest of the herd are gearing up for the battle, we can all see 4 quarter full carriages! But that would upset the elite, you can't go upsetting them!

I always sit in first class! You think a conductor is going to wade through the hundreds of people in the carriage?!

Trains are so expensive that it's cheaper to pay for the petrol and price these days.

Currently paying Just over £10 a day to get to NW london, from SE london. Call it £11 a day.

£11 x 5 =55 a week.
55 X 4 = 220 a month

What pissed me off the most is my journey is only 12 miles, but takes me the best part of 1Hr45m each way to do it. 3 hours of my life I have to spend sitting on a sh!tty train crammed in like sardines. Then to only have to pay MORE for the same sh!tty privilege?

I sometimes drive to work as its quicker and cheaper in some cases. I think il be doing that more often depending what the new prices work out to be.
